Napa man suffers gunshot wound to leg

NAPA, CA

The victim was standing outside an apartment building in the 1100 block of Pine Street when four men approached him at approximately 2 a.m. An altercation took place when the suspects began yelling at the victim, police said.

The victim told the men that he did not want trouble, but one of the suspects proceeded to shoot him with a small caliber handgun. The suspects then fled the area on foot but police were unable to locate them upon arrival.

The victim was transported to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa where he was treated for a single gunshot wound. His injury is not considered to be life threatening, police said.

It is unknown whether the shooting was gang-related.

The victim described all four to be approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and around 140 pounds. All four were described as wearing dark clothing.
