The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office threw a party at Moffett Field where children had a chance to meet Santa, take pictures and get a few early gifts.
The Sheriff's Office holds this celebration every year for families who live at Moffett Field and at the local bases.
"A lot of times the military families, they transfer every year, two or three times. They are moving from different areas of the country all the time, or even internationally. So, their immediate blood family is not local. But, their family is a military family, so this is the one time they all get together and have fun," said Jennifer Toomey with the Sheriff's Office.
Community donations and a group of volunteers help make the event possible.
