The woman was standing at the northwest corner of Springs Road and Oakwood Avenue waiting to cross Springs Road when she was struck at about 3:30 p.m., police said.
The driver, 31-year-old Scott Abeyta, had just left a nearby car wash and was traveling south on Oakwood Avenue when he attempted to turn right onto Springs Road and failed to see the woman, police said.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
She is the city's third victim of an auto-pedestrian fatal crash this year, police said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Police Department at (707) 648-4329.
