The Federal government will give you two free coupons to off-set the costs, but it is best to apply right away.
ABC7's Michael Finney logged on to the site and was told if he applied today, the coupons would be sent out on January 17th, and it would take 10 days to arrive in the mail; so he figures he would get a coupon on the 27th. By then, time is running and there would be only 20 days to buy the converter box and get it set up.
