Oakland's Barbara Lee is now the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus.

Lee, who has represented Oakland, Berkeley and the rest of the 9th Congressional District for ten years, was sworn-in during a ceremony at the Capitol Tuesday.

She says her top a priority is to get an economic stimulus package passed. Lee also plans to push the caucus to advocate for a variety of measures, including child health care coverage and a national strategy to combat HIV and AIDS.
