Homeless teen blogger finds a home

A South Bay teenager who has been blogging about being homeless is not homeless any more.

Sixteen-year-old Katy Hughes and her mother moved into a new apartment in Santa Clara this weekend. It's all thanks to a homeless outreach group called EHC Lifebuilders. They were able to find a landlord willing to cut the rent in half while Katy and her mom get back on their feet.

"We've still got a long ways to go, but it feels good to have a roof over our heads that isn't a motel room, have to worry about how we're going to pay for that in two days or something. Feels good, and I'm looking forward to decorating," says Katy.

Katy plans to keep blogging about her experiences. You can read her blog at destinationanywherebuthere.blogspot.com.
