The Federal Trade Commission and California Attorney General filed an antitrust lawsuit on Monday against four drug manufacturers.

The suit says Solvay Pharmaceuticals paid three drug companies not to manufacture a generic version of AndroGel -- a testosterone supplement.

It sells for $225 per box, but a generic version could cost 80-percent less.

The drug companies say their agreement is legal because Solvay has a patent on the formula.
