The owner of Laiola became alarmed when he noticed more of his regular customers had lost their jobs. He decided to do something to reward their years of loyalty.
"We'll just do something called 'pink slip Sunday' where if you bring in a friend of yours who's been laid off due to current financial situation in the country, we will buy them dinner. You come and buy dinner and we'll buy your friend who has lost their job dinner," said manager Tim Ryan.
The pink slip supper will be this Sunday only. Regular customers can make a reservation by e-mailing the owner at info@laiola.com.
