Flood, wind advisory in effect for Bay Area

The National Weather Service today extended a high wind advisory in the Bay Area until midnight.

The wind advisory was effective Saturday and was expected to be canceled sometime this afternoon.

However, the wind will remain strong and gust up to 45 mph throughout the evening until about midnight, according to the weather service.

The national weather service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Contra Costa County, San Francisco County, Alameda county, Santa Clara County , San Mateo County and Santa Cruz County until 10:00 p.m.
