Rain causing delays at SFO

Passengers flying out of San Francisco International Airport should plan for up to hour delays after noon Sunday due to the rainy weather in the Bay Area, an airport duty manager said.

As of about 8:15 a.m. there were no weather-related delays, duty manager John Ginty said.

The Federal Aviation Administration has implemented a ground-delay program due to local weather, however, which will be in effect at SFO Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., he said.
