A private donation helped the unit buy new giraffe beds and other items for treating premature babies. The beds are able to convert from an incubator to radiant warmer at the touch of a button, eliminating the stress of moving the infants from bed to bed.

First Five Santa Clara County, a South Bay charity organization, donated the money for the improvements.
