Oakland holds third annual Crab Crawl

OAKLAND, CA

Several thousand turned out for the third year of the festival.

Organizers hope to make it a tradition although a boat from Half Moon Bay that was supposed to sell live crab never showed up because the owner could not catch enough crab.

Nevertheless, booths sold fresh cooked crab and there were crab cooking demonstrations along with plenty of entertainment, including face painting, carnival games and booths selling art from Oakland artists.
