Legal Planet is meant to make developments in law and policy more approachable for general audiences. Contributors write about Supreme Court decisions, new policy developments, regulatory actions and state and national legislation.

The blog's co-creators are director of Berkeley's environmental law program Dan Farber and faculty director of the Emmett Center on Climate Change and the Environment at UCLA's school of law Ann Carlson.

People can read about the contributors on the Web site at www.legalplanet.wordpress.com. One of the latest entries, "Nobody's Perfect," comments on an agreement between the Obama and Bush administrations removing the gray wolf from a list of endangered species in the western Great Lakes region and some Rocky Mountain states.
