Annual watercolor exhibit opens at Presidio

The California Watercolor Association's annual national exhibition returns to San Francisco today for a two-month show at the Presidio.

The 40th annual exhibition, "Water+Color," is being held for the second year in a row at the Presidio, and will feature about 100 watercolor portraits, landscapes and other works.

In addition to the exhibition, viewers will get a chance to meet the artists, observe plein-air, outdoor painting competitions, and vote for this year's People's Choice Award winner.

The exhibition is on view through May 24 at the Presidio Officers' Club Exhibition Hall, 50 Moraga Ave. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free
