Fight results in teen's stabbing

Police were alerted about the fight at about 4:15 p.m. at Juilliard Park, located at 531 Juilliard Park Drive.

During the fight, the victim was attacked with a knife by one suspect and with a stick or similar object by another suspect, according to police.

Three of the girls tried to run away when officers arrived, but all were apprehended at the park, police said.

Detectives from the Police Department's gang crimes team also responded and learned that the three suspects involved are members of a gang and that the victim is a member of a rival gang.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and her injuries were not considered life threatening, police said.

The suspects, two from Santa Rosa and one from Rohnert Park, were booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for assault with a deadly weapon, participation in a criminal street gang and resisting a peace officer. Two of the suspects were also arrested for outstanding warrants.
