Firefighters control two-alarm fire in SF

San Francisco firefighters have controlled a two-alarm fire that burned in the city's South of Market neighborhood this morning.

The fire was reported at 8:29 a.m. and burned in a narrow alleyway between two wood-frame residential buildings at 12 and 16 Washburn St.

Fire Battalion Chief Kevin Burke said firefighters controlled the blaze in about 20 minutes.
