Whooping cough case reported in Marin Co.

MARIN COUNTY, CA

Officials sent out letters to parents saying a student in the junior class was diagnosed with the highly contagious disease on March 20th, even though she had been vaccinated at a younger age.

Officials say no other cases have been reported in the county.

Whooping cough affects the respiratory system, and can cause serious illness in children and adults.
