Heavenly to require helmets for employees

The company that runs Heavenly Valley Ski Resort will require all employees to wear helmets when skiing or riding on the job, beginning next winter season.

Vail Resorts says helmets will be provided to every employee next fall as part of their standard uniform.

It will also require all children, ages 12 and under, to wear a helmet when taking group lessons.

The resort also says helmets will become a required part of any child's ski and snowboard rental package.
