A section of hillside came sliding down on Wednesday into the backyard of an unoccupied home in Point Loma.
It did not cause damage or injuries, but residents in homes alongside and above the slide have been evacuated.
Officials estimate the slide is about 50-feet long and 40-feet-wide.
