State water officials increase allocation

State water officials increased water delivery allocation by 30-percent. However, they remind everyone that California remains in the third year of a drought.

The increase allocation was announced Thursday and comes after spring storms lifted the snowpack to around 80-percent of average and brought rain levels to near normal.

The Department of Water Resources is urging homes, businesses and farms to continue conserving water.

They said saving water must become a way of life now and in the future.
