Man stabbed to death in San Jose

Police are investigating a Friday night stabbing in San Jose that left one man dead, police said Saturday.

Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress near the intersection of Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy Avenue at about 10:10 p.m., police Officer Jose Garcia said.

They found a man lying in the street suffering from stab wounds, Garcia said. The victim, a San Jose resident, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not yet released the victim's identity.

There were no arrests made in connection with the stabbing, Garcia said.
