Pilot Kyle Davis and his passenger were flying to Lakeland, Florida Sunday when the engine failed.
The propeller stalled and the pilot ended up landing the plane on a busy three-lane street - as several cars traveled by in the opposite direction.
"When I landed on the street and realized I hadn't injured anybody I was ok it was incredibly relieving it was a feeling like no other," said Kyle Davis, pilot.
The pilot was able to pull into a nearby parking lot. He says a lot of luck and a little bit of experience saved their lives.
