SJ City Hall falcon eggs hatches 4th egg

The peregrine falcon mother on top of the 18th floor of San Jose City Hall has just hatched her fourth and final chick.

Clara and her peregrine partner, Esteban Colbert have been waiting on the final chick after three others began hatching two days ago.

The next step is for experts from the Santa Cruz bird predatory research group to climb down and put ID bands on the young falcons.

That should happen in the next few weeks.

People who want to see the falcon nest can watch the birds on the city's Falcon Cam.
