The operation begins Friday and will continue for the rest of the baseball season, according to police.

There will be an increased police presence both inside and outside the park, and a zero-tolerance policy for violations of underage alcohol possession and consumption and public drunkenness laws, during baseball games.

In addition, police and neighboring law enforcement agencies, as well as the San Francisco Giants, are preparing an educational outreach campaign on underage drinking and its consequences. Flyers will be distributed at AT&T Park and the surrounding area, on public transportation routes and at local schools.
