A person was struck around 11:30 a.m. by a southbound train, according to Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn.

Train service has resumed but as of 12:45 p.m. there were still delays of between 20 and 35 minutes, Dunn said.

Dunn said this is the first time this year a person has been struck and killed by a Caltrain.
