The crash was reported at about 1:10 a.m. on Highway 280 just south of Interstate Highway 880, according to CHP Officer Pacheco.
The driver of a motorcycle apparently died in a solo vehicle crash, according to Pacheco, who said the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office was contacted at about 1:30 a.m. because of the fatality.
