Reid said the idea is to match potential buyers with the properties that are listed for sale and are vacant.
He said housing consultants, lenders, real estate associations, city departments, non-profit agencies and credit counselors will be on hand to address potential buyers' needs and questions.
Reid said he wants to do something about "vacant blighted properties that have become an eyesore in our neighborhoods due to the foreclosure crisis."
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, with five buses leaving at various times.
