Officers responded to several reports of shots fired in the 1900 block of Bristol Lane at about 10 p.m., according to the Fairfield Police Department. Witnesses reported that a man had shot another man outside an apartment building.
Police arrived and found a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers searched for the gunman but no arrests were made, according to police.
Investigators have announced a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
