The permit suspension applies to the three counties and Colusa and Yolo counties. It is in effect until an end of the fire season is declared.

Lake County suspended burning May 1, Cal Fire spokeswoman Suzanne Blakenship said.

Agricultural, forest management and other industrial-type burning may proceed if a Cal Fire official inspects the area and issues a permit, Blakenship said.

Campfires will be allowed in designated campgrounds with permission of the jurisdictional authority, Cal Fire said.
