From 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. today, five people have been killed in DUI-related crashes statewide, three of which were on CHP-patrolled roadways, according to CHP Sgt. Trent Cross.
Last year at this time where were four reported fatalities related to driving under the influence, Cross said.
The reporting period for maximum enforcement runs through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
