The 15-foot catamaran capsized at about 3:15 p.m. about two miles south of the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, operations specialist Stanley Hickman said.

The Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter, which rescued a man who was in the water, and a local emergency crew rescued a woman who was on a hull of the catamaran, Hickman said.

The rescue was complete by 3:47 p.m. and there was no report of injuries.
