The San Francisco Art Exchange (SFAE), in association with Raj Prem Fine Art Photography, is proud to announce its newest exhibit, Chairman of the Board, Knight of the Realm: Frank Sinatra & Elton John Back to Back, a rare collection photos by famed British photographer Terry O'Neill. A celebration of O'Neill chronicling the careers of these diametrically different musical icons over the past 40 years, this extraordinary and striking installation juxtaposes 20 photographs of an effortlessly polished Frank Sinatra against 20 of a quirkily dynamic Elton John.
The Chairman of the Board, Knight of the Realm exhibit will include never-before-printed images of both Sinatra and John with whom O'Neill enjoyed close friendships. Also on display are two celebrated images that are part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London: Elton John in a spectacularly sequined Dodgers uniform as he performs for over 50,000 fans at Dodgers Stadium in 1975, and Frank Sinatra with his stand-in and protective escorts on location in Miami Beach shooting his popular 1967 detective film Tony Rome.
The opening event at SFAE includes the opportunity for guests to meet O'Neill, who has traveled from London especially to celebrate this unique exhibition. He will also sign copies of his books Sinatra: Frank & Friendly (2007) and Eltonography (2008).
SFAE international art dealers and co-owners Theron Kabrich and James Hartley, along with show curator Raj Prem, will also be on hand to discuss the collection.
