Volunteers for Equality California went door-to-door in Milpitas. They were targeting people who voted "yes" on Proposition 8 which banned gay marriage in the state. They also wanted to explain how Prop 8 has affected their lives.
"We've been going door-to-door in LA for about the past six months, but here in the South Bay we just started going door-to-door this weekend. It puts a face on the issue. An email is very impersonal," explained Chris Riley.
The California Supreme Court ruled in May that Prop 8 is valid. In August, a federal challenge will be heard in an Orange County court.
