The coupons are being given out free of charge by the federal government. They are worth $40 and each household is allowed two coupons.
If you don't need the coupons, consider applying anyway and donating the coupons so they can be given out to low income individuals.
"July 31 is the deadline for people to apply for a coupon, so if you send in your application before July 31, you should be eligible to receive a coupon," 7 On Your Side DTV coordinator Winnie Yu said.
