The children are all patients in pediatrics, intensive care, and the burn center. The players autographed trading cards and pennants for the kids.
"So much of recovery for pediatric patients is their spirit and their fight, and having the inspiration of a bunch of athletes like this is great," said Pediatric Physician Alan Schroeder.
Organizers said it was especially important to raise the spirits of their young patients in summer, when they would normally be out playing and enjoying time off from school.
