San Francisco law requires elected officials to live in the city and Daly says he will continue to do so. In a statement to the Fog City Journal, Daly said he will "eat, sleep, and bathe" at his home in San Francisco, but his wife and kids have moved to Fairfield to be close to family there.

Former Supervisor Ed Jew was forced to resign in part for lying about where he lived.

Daly told ABC7 he is committed to his constituents in San Francisco and will hold on to his phone bills and other records to prove he is still there.
