The Marin Community Food Bank hands out groceries provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture at seven locations.
It takes place on the fourth Thursday of every month.
There was lots of activity this Thursday, at the Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church, in Marin city.
The food bank says demand is up at least 30 percent since January.
Given the tough times, the Marin Community Food Bank is asking anyone who can organize a food drive to help.
