Police hope forensics may help crack cold case

Investigators hope a new forensic facial reconstruction will help solve an East Bay cold case.

They now have a clay recreation of what they believe the man looked like.

His skeleton was found in 1998 on a hiking trail in the Hillside Natural Area in El Cerrito. Police say the body had been there between three and five years.

There was no sign of trauma, and the cause of death has not been determined.

Anyone with any information is being asked to call El Cerrito police.
