Verizon negotiating Coliseum naming rights

Phone giant Verizon Wireless is in the final stages of a five-year multi-million dollar naming rights deal for the Oakland Coliseum.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle the exact terms of the deal could be announced as early as this week.

The Coliseum is home field to the Oakland Raiders and the Oakland A's. It has been without a corporate name since a ten year deal with McAfee expired before the Raiders began their season last September.
