Furloughs continue at Calif. universities

Monday was another furlough day for San Jose and San Francisco State Universities. Offices at both universities were minimally staffed, if staffed at all, as they were last Friday.

The furloughs were issued as part of cost-cutting measures to help trim California's budget deficit. Each campus has its own furlough schedule.

Most of the San Jose State staff will take a total of 24 furlough days through June of 2010.
