'Lucky' turtle gets new legs

Lucky's owner Sally Pyne believes the box turtle's font legs were chewed off by a racoon.

Pyne was referred to North Bay Veterinary Clinic surgeon Robert Jereb. Once Jereb concluded that Lucky was not going to die from its injuries, he attached a double set of furniture sliders at the front of Lucky's shell. The sliders prop up Lucky and allow it to move around powered by its back legs.
