Brianna Barnes, 17, was at a friend's house and is doing fine, San Jose police Officer Jermaine Thomas said.

Officers were called to her home in the 100 block of North 33rd Street at 1 a.m. today, San Jose police Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.

Barnes' father told police his daughter was missing and that he had last seen her at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday, police said. Investigators examined the home and found a broken window, which increased their concern.

However, Thomas said Barnes has been located and is OK.
