Muni train hits pedestrian

A San Francisco Municipal Railway light rail vehicle struck a pedestrian late this morning, briefly disrupting service on the M-Ocean View line, a Muni spokesman said.

The female pedestrian was hit just before 11 a.m. at Broad Street and Plymouth Avenue in the city's Ingleside neighborhood, Muni spokesman Judson True said.

She was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, True said.

Bus shuttles were set up on the M-Ocean View line between St. Francis Circle and the San Jose/Geneva terminal during the disruption.

The accident was cleared and normal service resumed shortly before noon, True said.
