Highway 680 was closed between Marshview and Gold Hill roads in
the Fairfield area because of the fire.
The fire was reported around 4 p.m. A Sig-alert was issued at 4:23
p.m.
The Gold Hill Road on- and off-ramps to Highway 680 remained
closed as of 5:35 p.m., the CHP said.
A second smaller fire also was reported on southbound Highway 680
just north of Parish Road north of Benicia, the CHP said.
