Brentwood at risk of West Nile Virus

The Brentwood area of Eastern Contra Costa County is at elevated risk for the West Nile Virus.

Three more dead birds have tested positive for the virus -- at the locations you see on this map. Dead birds are indicators that mosquitoes are spreading the disease.

Parts of Brentwood and Martinez are scheduled to be sprayed for mosquitoes starting around 7:00 p.m.
