Emergency crews rescued the driver whose car went off a cliff shortly before 4 am. Friday morning during dense fog.
The vehicle plunged more than 100 feet down the cliff. The driver sustained only minor injuries.
The winding stretch of Highway 1 was completely blocked at Linda Mar for the rescue. It will be shut down again later on Friday to get the car off the cliff.
