Baby weight prompts insurance policy change

An insurance company in Colorado is changing its policy after initially refusing to cover a baby it said weighed too much.

Four-month-old Alex Lange is 25 inches long and weighs 17 pounds.

Rocky Mountain Health Plans claimed he had a pre-existing condition of obesity and could not qualify for insurance.

The company was hit with intense criticism, and now says it will provide coverage for all healthy babies -- regardless of how much they weigh.
