Punishment may be reversed for 1st grader

On Tuesday, a school board in Delaware considered overturning the punishment for a first grader who was suspended for 45 days for bringing a camping utensil to school.

Hundreds of people were expected to turn out to support this little boy, 6-year-old Zachary Christie. He got into trouble after he brought a combination fork, spoon, and knife to school to eat his lunch.

Officials thought the knife violated the district's zero tolerance policy, put in place in response to the Columbine and Virginia Tech shootings, but now they are reconsidering.
