UC Berkeley to admit more non-residents

UC will be admitting as many as 600 more out-of-staters per year in an effort to offset a twenty-percent cut from Sacramento. Non-residents pay higher tuition that covers the cost of education while California students receive more assistance from the state.

UCLA and UC San Diego are also considering doing the same thing.
