Mt. Diablo school will recommend to save sport

The Mount Diablo School District will recommend that the school board approve a plan to save high school sports.

Volunteers raised more than $315,000 to fund teams during the upcoming winter and spring seasons.

Their efforts followed the school board's vote last spring to cancel sports at six schools because of budget problems.

The school board will vote on giving athletic programs the green light during its meeting on Tuesday night.
